Virat Kholi

Virat Kohli was born 5 November 1988. He is a right handed middle order batsman who plays for India. He is currently the captain of Indian Test Team. While playing U19 cricket, under his captaincy India became the champion in 2008 which was held at Malaysia. He represents Delhi in domestic cricket while captains the Royal Challenger Bangalore franchise in the Indian Premier League. Kohli made his debut in 2008 and was part of the team that became champion in 2011. He was a regular ODI player but despite that he made his debut in test cricket at 2011 against West Indies. He scored his maiden test century while India was on tour to Australia at 2011/12 which was a disastrous tour for the senior batsman. In ODi cricket he holds many records like the fastest century by an Indian batsman and the fastest batsman in the World to score 17 century in less innings. He is the fourth batsman to score more than 1000 runs in three or more consecutive calendar year after sourav ganguly, MS dhoni and sachin tendulkar.He is the first batsman to score successive 50 runs or above it more than 2 occasions in ODI.
International career

Maiden ODI call up and subsequent season 

In August 2008 Kohli was included in the Indian ODI squad for tour of Sri Lanka and tho Champions Trophy in Pakistan.Prior to the Sri Lankan tour ,Kohli had played only eight matches ,and his selection was called a ''surprise call -up .However ,the champions Trophy was later postponed to 2009 and moved to South Africa.Kohli made his international devut in the first ODI of the Sri Lankan tour , when both first choice openers Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag were with Gautam Gambhir and was dismissed for 12.In alow scoring second match of the series ,Kohli made a crucial 37 which helped India win and level the series.He scored 35 in the third game , and his first ODI half century , a score of 54 ,in thi fourth match which helped India win the series.He scored top for India in the last match of the series with 31, vut India were bowled out for 103 chasing 228 India won the series 3-2 which was India,s first ODI series win against Sri Lanka in Sri Lanka.
